This video, lasting almost two minutes, shows almost a full revolution of the wheel. The film starts by lifting you over the roof of the National Railway Museum to see the railway station. As you get higher York Minster comes into view — and the countryside beyond the City of York. As the wheel reaches the very top the camera is turned through 180 degrees and the railway sidings belonging to the National Railway Museum can be seen through the rain-splattered capsule window. This film was taken on quite a windy day — the capsule can be seen swaying at this stage and the wind heard whistling round the door! The film ends as the capsule descends back down to the ground.
